  • Daniel Manriquez Becerra - Director, LATAM
    Daniel Manriquez Becerra

    Daniel brings more than 25 years of experience working in the postharvest business. Daniel completed his agronomist degree studies with a specialization in pomology at the University of Chile, and his Ph. D. in molecular biology and biochemistry at the National School of Agronomy in France. From his undergraduate thesis, Daniel’s career has been dedicated in an important part to understanding the role of ethylene in maturity, ripening, and senescence and to developing tools to control it in pre and postharvest helping to get better quality and postharvest life of fresh products. His experience includes roles at the public and private sector in pre and postharvest projects in different crops and geographies with the objective to improve quality and postharvest life. In his last two positions, at AgroFresh Inc. and Cultiva LLC, Daniel lead multidisciplinary teams in different countries in the Americas, in charge of R&D, regulatory, and business development activities. Daniel lives in Santiago, Chile with his wife, daughter, and two sons. Daniel likes to read and play golf, and his preferred fruit is cherimoya, a very flavored fruit that has an explosion of aroma when it is at maturity.

  • Roberto Ante - Regional Manager - Colombia & Ecuador
    Roberto Ante

    Hailing from Bogota, Colombia, Roberto was born into a family that cherished agriculture as a beloved pastime. This early connection with nature inspired him to pursue a degree in Agronomy at Zamorano University, a unique institution that provides hands-on experience with rigorous studies across vast farmlands.

    Roberto's journey in the floral world began in 1995 in nurturing various flowers, including Carnations, roses, Freesias, Gypso, and stock. He also has experience with rose propagation and knowledge of the floral lifecycle.

    Roberto has collaborated with industry giants such as Floramerica, GR Chia, and Rosen Tantau. In 2002 he was the Quality Assurance specialist at Miami Bouquet Collection, subsequently transitioning to Portland with Kendal Floral.

    Roberto and his wife live in Colombia, where they tend to a small farm, with a few cherished animals while establishing a thriving blackberry field - his personal favorite fruit.
